Dr Lorna Swan MB ChB, MD, FRCP (UK), Consultant Cardiologist Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service (SACCS)/Director of Medical Education In 2020 Dr Swan joined the Scottish Adult Congenital Cardiac Service at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Glasgow after working as a Consultant Cardiologist for 15 years in London and Toronto. Lorna completed her cardiology training and MD thesis in Glasgow. She then took up an ACHD consultant position at the Royal Brompton Hospital in 2006. She was the Program Director for 8 years. In 2018 she moved to the Toronto Adult Congenital Programme. During her time in Toronto Lorna’s clinical and academic remit included ACHD, Cardio-obstetrics and Transition. In recent years Lorna’s teaching and academic output has mainly been related to ACHD Heart failure and Cardio-obstetric guidelines working with ISACHD, the ESC and the Canadian Society of Cardiology. In 2024 Lorna was appointed as the Director of Medical Education at the Golden Jubilee.
