Doctor Corstiaan den Uil

In May 2021, he joined the Maasstad ICU (Rotterdam, the Netherlands). Maasstad Ziekenhuis is a top-clinical community teaching hospital, where he works in a team of 9 staff intensivists (3 anaesthesiologists, 3 cardiologists and 2 internists), together with junior intensivists, ventilation, circulation & renal practitioners, research nurses, dedicated ICU nurses and residents. His team strives for excellent patient care with focus on cardiac critical care, major abdominal and vascular surgery, sepsis, acute respiratory distress syndrome and severe burns. The team is also responsible for the ICU patient's care at Van Weel-Bethesda Ziekenhuis. He coordinates (multicenter) clinical research. He is the national project leader for TORPEDO-NL (https://torpedo-nl.nl) and the co-PI for BuLLSEYE (www.bullseyetrial.com).
