Dr Terry Quinn has grown a research portfolio and team with interests in trial methodology, functional assessment and neuropsychological consequences of cardiovascular disease.
He has published extensively on stroke, cognition and test accuracy with recent publications in NEJM, Lancet and BMJ. He is Principal Investigator for a number of studies and holds the inaugural Chief Scientist Office/Stroke Association priority program grant to research cognition in stroke.
Committee work includes coordinating editor of Cochrane Dementia; chair of OPSYRIS (Organisation for Psychological Research in Stroke) and editorial boards for several major journals. He works with HealthCare improvement Scotland on frailty management in acute care, sits on the Scottish Parliament Cardiac and Stroke Cross Party Group and was a main author on the recent national AF report.
He combines research with teaching and clinical commitments in the stroke units of the major Glasgow hospitals.
