Dr Christos Bourantas graduated from the Medical School, University of Ioannina, and received his PhD degree from the same university in 2005. He completed his cardiology training in 2011 in UK and after a post doc research fellowship in Thoraxcentre Erasmus MC and a CCT fellowship in interventional cardiology in Newcastle he was appointed as as a consultant in interventional Cardiology at Barts Health NHS Trust, UK. He has strong interest in research, education and training and he is a honorary senior lecturer at the University College London and Queen Mary University London. His research interests focuses on invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, computational modeling, vulnerable plaque detection and secondary prevention.
