Biography
Professor Doris Yu is Professor and Chair of Research at the School of Nursing, LKS Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong (HKU). With the research expertise in chronic cardiovascular and geriatric care. Professor Yu obtained over USD $ 3 million research grants to support the studies on prevalent elderly issues including heart failure management, particularly on transitional care, self-care supportive care and palliative care models. She has also applied E-health to promote family-based care for this clinical cohort. Her research work also cover the other geriatric symptom management, brain health promotion, strength-based and family-oriented models on dementia care and caregiving. She is currently the mentor of the ESC ACNAP Mentoring Programme. She is also the Associate Director of the Sau Po Center on Aging, HKU.
