Associate Professor Elnur Smajic

Elnur Smajić completed subspecialization of cardiology since 2020, and now is the Head of the Clinic for internal diseases. He is the leader of Echocardiography school (basic and advanced level) in B&H. He is also the president of the working group for cardiovascular imaging, national coordinator for CVD prevention and member of the Board in the Association of Cardiologists of B&H. He received his PhD in 2024. From 2018 to 2024, he served as the Head of the Cardiology department. Elnur Smajić is the author of many book chapters, as well as books in the field of cardiology, and published a large number of professional and scientific articles in journals (citation- 25614, h- index: 6, i10- index- 5). Since 2024, he is a Fellow of the ESC. He is a reviewer of several current ESC clinical practice guidelines (atrial fibrillation, non-cardiac surgery, valvular heart disease and etc.). He's expertise and research areas: Echocardiography, E- Cardiology, CVD prevention, Neurocardiology.
