Dr Vyas completed his undergraduate medical training at the University of Cambridge, while developing a keen interest and aptitude for academic medicine. He moved to London to continue his postgraduate academic medical training, winning numerous prizes and being appointed to prestigious Academic Foundation and Academic Clinical Fellowship posts. His specific interests lie in the mechanisms and disease processes that underlie arrhythmia. He has recently been awarded an MRC Clinical Research Training Fellowship to undertake a period of dedicated PhD level research into the immunolgical mechanisms that drive the development of atrial fibrillation.
