Biography
Dr. Aikaterini Christidi obtained her Medical Degree from the Medical School of University of Thessaly, Larissa, Greece, in 2011, graduating with distinction. She completed her Cardiology Residency at the University Clinic of the Heart Center Dresden, Germany, and at the Clinic for Cardiology, Pneumology and Angiology, University Hospital Düsseldorf, Germany. During her training, she gained extensive experience in clinical cardiology, emergency medicine, intensive care, echocardiography and advanced cardiac imaging. She received her PhD with distinction from the Medical School of University of Thessaly, entitled “The impact of β-thalassemia trait on arterial function”. Dr. Christidi has a EACVI CMR Level III Certification and is a Fellow of the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI). Since March 2022, she has been Head of the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Department at the General Clinic of Thessaloniki, Greece.
