Dr. Thomas Stiermaier graduated from Medical University of Vienna, Austria, and completed training in internal medicine and cardiology at Heart Center Leipzig, Germany, and University Heart Center Lübeck, Germany. He is currently a senior doctor and interventional cardiologist at University Heart Center Lübeck, Germany, where he also coordinates the cardiac magnetic resonance program. Dr. Stiermaier completed his postdoctoral thesis (habilitation) at University of Lübeck, Germany. His research focuses on acute myocardial infarction, interventional cardiology, Takotsubo syndrome, and cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. Dr. Stiermaier is particularly interested in clinical outcomes, individualized risk stratification, and the translation of novel diagnostic and therapeutic approaches to clinical practice.
