Associate Professor Ryan Tedford

Dr. Tedford currently serves as the Chief of Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. He is an internationally recognized clinical researcher and has published over 100 peer-reviewed original research manuscripts, invited expert reviews, editorials, and book chapters. His research efforts are focused on hemodynamic assessment of the right ventricle function and its interaction with the pulmonary circulation and left heart. This research spans the fields of pulmonary hypertension, left heart disease, exercise physiology, systemic sclerosis, and mechanical circulatory support. Dr. Tedford is a regular invited faculty lecturer at national and international scientific meetings, peer reviewer for numerous journals, and serves on the editorial board for Circulation: Heart Failure and JACC: Heart Failure.
