Dr. Mauricio Soto Vásquez is an Internist and Critical Care Cardiologist, with an MSc in Clinical Trials at The Edinburgh University, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and has been certified by the Heart Failure Association (HFA) of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) in Heart Failure. Currently is the Head of The Cardiac Critical Care Unit of the 713-bed Hernán Henríquez Hospital in Temuco (Chile); and serves as Director of the Cardiology Fellowship Program, as Faculty in the Internal Medicine Residency, and is a Clinical Simulation Instructor at Universidad de la Frontera in Temuco, Chile. He is past-president (2021-2023) of the Intensive Care department of the Chilean Society of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery (SOCHICAR). He is an avid reader and indoor rower.
