Biography
Interventional Cardiologist with specialized training in Structural Heart Intervention in the United Kingdom. Currently deputy head of the Interventional Cardiology Department and Interventional Cardiology training program at the National Institute of Cardiology in Mexico City. Areas of expertise: Complex PCI (LMS, CTO, and rotational atherectomy), structural heart intervention including TAVI, PFO closure, alcohol septal ablation, PVL closure, post-MI VSD closure. Research lines: TAVI, alcohol septal ablation, post-MI VSD, fusion guided intervention, and complex PCI. Innovation and device development experience: BMS, DES, vascular occluder, and TAVI development projects (National Institute of Cardiology). Member of the Mexican Society of Cardiology and of the National Research System
