Biography
Federica is an advanced heart failure specialist with a deep passion for heart failure research and treatment. She began her training in Italy under the mentorship of Professor Marco Metra, where she developed her expertise in the field. After being awarded a prestigious ESC grant, she moved to Zurich, where she worked with Thomas Lusher and Frank Ruschitzka to further specialise in advanced heart failure.
Driven by a commitment to research, she started a PhD at the Karolinska Institute under the main supervision of Gianluigi Svarese and Lars Lund , focusing on heart failure outcomes through his work with the Swedish Heart Failure Registry. She has returned to Switzerland and is currently an advanced heart failure specialist at Bern University Hospital.
In addition to his clinical and research activities, Federica is multilingual and enjoys biking and surfing as well as every kind of sport.
