Biography
Dr. Zuzana Berecova started as a radiologist at Comenius University Hospital in Bratislava. She passed the USMLE Exam in 1998. She successfully graduated from Body imaging and Thoracic radiology fellowship programs at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami, USA. Since 2015, she has been the chief of the Radiology Department at St. Michal Hospital in Bratislava. She became chief of radiology education at Slovak Medical University, Bratislava, in 2024. Dr. Zuzana Berecova has specialized in Cardiovascular Imaging (MR and CT) since 2003. She achieved an EBCR certificate in 2012 and a CMR certificate level III in 2014. She is a founding member of the Working Group on Cardiovascular Imaging within the Slovak Society of Cardiology and of a Section of Cardiovascular Imaging within the Slovak Radiology Society. Besides performing cardiovascular imaging, she also publishes in the field, gives oral presentations at national meetings, and teaches medical students and residents.
