Member of:

European Society of Cardiology
Heart Failure Association

Dr Christopher Primus is a cardiology registrar at Barts Heart Centre in London, UK, as a sub-specialty trainee in Heart Failure, Endocarditis and Cardiac Imaging. He is currently in the final stages of his doctoral research studies investigating the effects of inflammation in heart failure. His specific focus is the role of inorganic nitrate in the non-canonical pathway of nitric oxide generation (Kapil et. al. Pharmacological Reviews, 2020) and exploring it’s anti-inflammatory potential. Dr Primus’ further interest is in Infective Endocarditis, working at a large tertiary referral centre seeing >150cases per annum. He is particularly focussed on streamlining patient pathways in this rare disease and improving outcomes as a result. Please do get in touch via Twitter @primustime or NHS Mail at christopher.primus@nhs.net
