Doctor Vijay Chopra

Dr. Vijay K Chopra serves at Max Super speciality Hospital, New Delhi as a Senior Director of Clinical Cardiology, Heart Failure and Research. Prior to this appointment, he was the Director, Heart Failure program at Medanta Medicity, Gurugram and Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. He founded the Heart failure association of India (HFAI) and was its first president from 2014 tom 2019. Currently he is on the Board of Governors of HFAI. He was instrumental and forging a close association of HFAI with the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology and co-chaired the joint sessions at the annual conferences of HFAI and HFA for 6 years. He has participated in over 35 major clinical trials and has been the National Lead investigator in Rocket-AF, ELIXA, Fourier, PARADIGM, Odyssey East, DAPA-HF, EMPEROR Reduced, EMPEROR Preserved, SCORED, FINE-ARTS, EMPACT-MI, STEP-HF among others. He has over 50 publications in peer reviewed journals.
