Efstratios Karagiannidis is a specialist registrar in the Department of Cardiology in the University General Hospital of Thessaloniki AHEPA. After finishing Medical School in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (with Distinction), he completed an MSc programme in “Research Methodology in Biomedicine, Biostatistics and Clinical Bioinformatics” at the Medical School of the University of Thessaly. He also holds a Master’s Degree in “Health Economics, Outcomes and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences” (Joint collaboration between the European Heart Academy of ESC and London School of Economics (LSE)) with a Distinction. Moreover, he holds a PhD degree in the field of Interventional Cardiology from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He is a member of the ESC Education Committee and in July 2019, he was appointed “Task Force ESC Clinical Case Gallery” Lead.
