Mrs Catherine Goult

Catherine Goult is a Highly Specialised Cardiac Physiologist at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, UK, specialising in advanced echocardiography. She performs and reports adult transthoracic echocardiography and has expertise in transoesophageal, stress, contrast and bubble echocardiography. Catherine is a British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) Regional Representative, an Echocardiography Training Programme (ETP) assessor and is actively involved in the education and training of healthcare professionals. Her research interests focus on advanced echocardiographic assessment of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) and cardiac amyloidosis. Following completion of a National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Internship, she is leading research to improve the early diagnosis and phenotyping of these conditions using novel echocardiographic techniques.
