Professional achievements (electrotherapy) - Cardiac pacing: Systems implantation – since 1973 – more than 5 thousands procedures. Atrial and DDD pacing since 1985, CRT – since 1997 (using “Y” connectors), biatrial pacing since 1996. Alternative places of lead location (BB, CS, RVOT) since 1995. Lead removal / extraction – long-term continuous traction (using traversing pulley) 1973-1986, lead extraction using non-dedicated sheaths 1987-1995, lead extraction using teflon Byrd dilators – since 1996, lead extraction using polipropylene Byrd dilators since 2005, using femoral approach, jugular approach and all available dedicated and non-dedicated tools – since 2006. Central referentional Polish centre for lead extraction and treatment of permanent pacing complication – since 2006/7.
