Jolien Roos-Hesselink is Professor of Cardiology at the Erasmus MC in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. She is director of the Department of Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Her clinical work and research involves Congenital Heart Disease, Aortic disease, Endocarditis and Pregnancy and maternal cardiac disease. She has authored and co-authored over 300 scientific publications and mentored 17 PhD students. She is chair of the ESC working group on Adult Congenital Heart Disease. She initiated and chairs a large prospective worldwide Registry On Pregnancy And Cardiac disease. ROPAC is embedded in the EurObservationalResearchProgram (EORP) of the ESC. This registry is successful, both in collaboration between 68 countries and 125 centres, but also in output with many high-impact papers. She was board member of the European Accreditation Committee Cardiology (EBAC) and is board-member of the EORP. She has been an active Taskforce member of several ESC guidelines and was editor for Heart
