Doctor Buket Akinci

Buket Akinci is a Physiotherapist, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation at Biruni University, Istanbul, TR. She obtained her Master's degree in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and her PhD degree in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation from Istanbul University. She has been elected as a Young Community Core Member of EAPC and represents the Young Community in the Membership Committee between 2022- 2026. Dr. Akinci is a SoMe Editor of European Journal of Preventive Cardiology. She is also in the EAPC Journal Club Editorial Team. Her areas of expertise are cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and preventive rehabilitation. Her research interests include pulmonary hypertension, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome and e-health. She has published articles, abstracts, book chapters and leads ongoing scientific projects in these areas.
