Biography
Prof. Grzegorz Kopec graduated from the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Krakow. He is a specialist in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and pulmonary vascular diseases (PVD; University of Bologna; Prof. Nazzareno Galiè). He had internships at Okayama Medical Center (Prof. Hiromi Matsubara) and at VUMC Medical University in Amsterdam (Prof. Anton Vonk Noordegraaf). In 2017–2019 he headed the Working Group on Pulmonary Circulation of the Polish Cardiac Society. He is an expert in pulmonary embolism and pulmonary hypertension, and a leader of the PVD program at the St. John Paul II Hospital in Krakow. He has been serving as a primary investigator in several trials in the field of pulmonary hypertension.
