Dr. Pura Henríquez is a distinguished cardiologist, critical care, and transplant specialist based in the Dominican Republic. She currently serves as General Manager of the Cardiovascular Critical Care Unit at Plaza de la Salud General Hospital in Santo Domingo. Internationally, she is a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Assembly of International Governors Steering Committee and serves as the International Chair of the ACC Women in Cardiology Council. She is also the former Governor of the ACC Dominican Republic Chapter. Dr. Henríquez’s research interests focus on cardiovascular prevention and critical care cardiology. In addition to her clinical and research work, she is widely recognized for her dedication to medical education and for actively promoting awareness of cardiovascular disease. She is fluent in Spanish, French, and English, and pursues running as a personal interest.
