Hospital Clinic, University of Barcelona, Barcelona (Spain)

Member of:

European Society of Cardiology
European Heart Rythm Association

Dr Mont did his fellowship in electrophysiology at the Maastrich University in 1989 with Prof Pedro Brugada and Prof Hein Wellens and at OLV in Aalst, Belgium with Prof. Pedro Brugada. He worked at the Hospital Vall d'Hebron as a Consultant in EP from until 1996. Since then, he has been working at the Hospital Clínic, University of Barcelona, at present as head of the Arrhythmia Section, and Professor. Together with Dr. Josep Brugada they have lead the fellowship program at the arrhythmia section, that has trained more thant 130 fellows in EP during the last 25 years. He has been involved in a number of research projects and their main research interests have been: arrhyhtmias and sports with specific work in the potential deletereous effects of excesive endurance training. Also has been involved in the aplication of imaging to AF ablation, particularly the use of LEG MRI in the detection of atrial fibrosis. Another area of interests has been CRT therapy .
