Biography
My current position is Professor of Cardiology and Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania. I have been a senior internal medicine MD since 1999 and a senior cardiologist since 2003, with competence in interventional electrophysiology and device implantation. I was trained in Debrecen, Hungary, after winning the "Two-year Basic Electrophysiology with emphasis on catheter ablation" EHRA fellowship, and in Nancy, France, for complex arrhythmia ablations (2013). In addition to electrophysiology, I have been involved in acute cardiovascular care. I was the president of the ACC working group and a board member of the Romanian Society of Cardiology (2014-2017). I was awarded as FESC in 2010 and was a member of the ACCA Education and Training Committee from 2016 to 2018 and an ACCA representative in the ESC Council for Education and Accreditation Standards from 2018 to 2021. In 2024 I became Board member of the Council of cardiology Practice.
