I am currently a cardiologist and professor at Seoul National University College of Medicine, Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea. My early research primarily focused on tricuspid regurgitation (TR), resulting in many publications in prestigious journals such as Circulation, European Heart Journal, and HEART. Following a two-year visiting research scholarship at Duke University Medical Center (2014-2016), my research interests expanded to include hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), publishing approximately 40 papers in SCI journals, as of 2023. Throughout my carreer, I published over 220 papers in SCI, as of July 2024. I have served on the editorial board of the JASE (2009-2012) and is currently an associate editor for the Korean Circulation Journal and Editor-in-chief of Journal of Cardiovascular Imaging. I am now a leading member of the HCM Research Network within the Korean Society of Echocardiography. I am recognized for my expertise in HCM, pulmonary hypertension and TR.
