Gonca studied medicine in Austria and Germany from 2004 to 2010. She started her first clinical post at the Department of Internal Medicine at the University Hospital in Zurich (USZ), Switzerland. After completing her foundational years in Internal Medicine at the Cantonal Hospital Baden, Switzerland from 2011 to 2013, she did her PhD studies in Cardiovascular Proteomics at King's College London, UK from 2013 to 2016. In 2017 she returned to USZ, where she completed her Training in Internal Medicine, achieving the Title of Specialist (FMH) in General Internal Medicine in 2019. Subsequently she completed her Training in Cardiology from 2018 to 2021 at USZ, achieving the Title of Specialist (FMH) in Cardiology in 2021. From 2021 to 2022 Gonca completed her Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at Royal Papworth Hospital in Cambridge, UK and holds the EHRA Certifiaction in Electrophysiology. Since 2023 she works as a Consultant Electrophysiologist and Cardiologist at USZ.
