Biography
Dr Sharareh Vahabi is a Consultant Cardiologist and the Clinical Lead in Echocardiography at the Bristol Heart Institute (University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust). Her clinical practice is focussed on advanced echocardiography and cardiac MRI, valvular heart disease, aortopathies, and cardiomyopathies. Additionally, she has a special interest in cardio-oncology having done her post graduate research on cardiovascular effects of chemotherapy and obtained her MD degree on this important topic at the Newcastle University. She holds British Society of Echocardiography (BSE) accreditations in both transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography and has additional level 3 EACVI certification in cardiac MRI (CMR). Furthermore, she is a member of the board for the European Exam on Core Cardiology (EECC) and is the Chair of the Question Writing Group.
