Cardiologist Advanced Heart Failure, Transplantation and Mechanical Circulatory Suppoty. Trainer / instructor of the cardiology residents for Advanced Heart Failure. Authored/co-authored several peer-reviewed papers and book chapters, including several high-level papers regarding noncompaction cardiomyopathy, heart failure, heart transplantation (e.g. Guven G et al. Intensive Care Medicine, 2018) and mechanical circulatory support (e.g. Yap et al. JACC 2016, and Soliman, Circulation 2017). From 2014 on Board Member of the European Registry for Patients with Mechanical Circulatory Support, The EUROMACS Registry. Between 2015 and 2020 he was the Dutch representative in the Eurotransplant Thoracic Advisory Board (EThAC). In January 2021 he joined the Editorial Board Member of Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation and in 2022 Frontiers in Cardiovascular Medicine as an Associate Editor for Heart Failure and Heart Transplantation.
