Biography
Dr Székely is Professor of Anesthesia Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at Semmelweis University Budapest, Hungary. Her main research interests include risk stratification and noncardiac factors influencing short and long term outcomes in the field of pediatric and adult cardiac surgery, mechanical cardiac support, transplantation and frailty. She is a team leader in the School of Doctoral Studies. Se has become Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and Fellow of the European Society of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care-Since 2022, she is the President of the European Workshop of Cardiovascular Intensivists. She is actively involved in the Frailty Taskforce of the EACTS. She is an Editorial Board member of the Journal of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesia and the MDPI Biomedicines.
