Member of:

European Society of Cardiology
Heart Failure Association

Niels Grote Beverborg received his Bachelor of Science in Medicine cum laude and with honours of the Junior Scientific Masterclass in 2013. Subsequently, he combined his Masters in Medicine with a PhD in translational cardiology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Peter van der Meer. Niels defended his thesis entitled “Anemia, erythropoietin and iron in heart failure” on the 7th of January, 2019. Hereafter, he obtained a grant to perform post-doctoral research in the field of modified mRNA and antisense therapy in the lab of Prof. Kenneth Chien at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm, Sweden. His current research focuses on new treatments for hereditary and acquired cardiomyopathy which he combines with his position as a cardiologist in training.
