Professor Stefan Agewall

Stefan Agewall is a guest professor at Karolinska Institute since 2023 and senior professor in cardiology at Oslo University Hospital in Norway since 2006. Before that, he held a position as Head of CCU at Karolinska University Hospital. He has published more than 400 Medline indexed articles and his H-index is 84. Agewall is Editor-in-Chief of European Heart Journal-Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy (IF 7.1) and Senior Consulting Editor of European Heart Journal. Agewall has participated in several ESC Committees, such as ESC Publication Committee, the Committee for Practice Guidelines and the ESC Congress Program Committee.He has also been chairman of ESC Working Group on Cardiovascular Pharmacotherapy. On Clarivates list of the most Cited Researchers in the world 2020. Agewall was member of the ESC board as a councilor between 2020-2022.
