Biography
Dr. Stefano Albani is a cardiologist and interventional cardiologist at Ospedale U. Parini in Aosta, Italy, where he has worked since 2020. He trained in Trieste, Turin, and at the Institut Cardiovasculaire Paris Sud. He holds a Master's in Sports Cardiology from the University of Padua and is certified in transthoracic echocardiography by the EACVI. His interests include coronary physiology, HFpEF, and pulmonary hypertension. Dr. Albani is principal investigator of the LAIT registry on LAA closure in high-risk patients and has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications. He serves as a peer reviewer for international journals, is a Fellow of the Italian Society of Cardiology, and teaches and mentors young cardiologists. He speaks Italian, English, and French, and enjoys skiing and wine culture.
