Doctor Keir McCutcheon

Keir McCutcheon completed his undergraduate studies and post-graduate training in internal medicine and cardiology in Johannesburg, South Africa. He has worked as a clinician/trainee clinician (intern, registrar, fellow) since 2004 without a career break holding several positions during this time in internal medicine and cardiology. He worked as a consultant cardiologist in Johannesburg from the beginning of 2013 up to July 2016. He then completed a two-year fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University Hospitals Leuven and was subsequently invited to join the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases as a permanent staff member (Consultant). His primary clinical role is the percutaneous management of patients with coronary artery disease, including acute percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), complex PCI and interventions for chronic total occlusions.
