Biography
Bjørnar Grenne, MD, PhD, FESC, FEACVI, is a consultant cardiologist at St. Olavs University Hospital and Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He completed his PhD in Clinical Medicine in 2011 and became a specialist in cardiology in 2015. His clinical and research expertise includes advanced echocardiography, valvular and structural heart disease, myocardial deformation and interventional imaging. His research focuses on the responsible development, validation and clinical implementation of artificial intelligence to improve quality, reproducibility and workflow in echocardiography. He leads multidisciplinary research and innovation projects involving clinicians, engineers and data scientists. He chairs the Norwegian Working Group of Echocardiography, serves on the EACVI National Cardiac Societies Committee and is an Editorial Board member of JASE.
