Associate Professor Alon Shechter

Dr. Alon Shechter, MD MHA FESC is an echocardiologist focusing on valvular heart disease and structural heart interventions. He serves as a staff cardiologist at Rabin Medical Center's echo lab and valve clinic; clinical associate professor of cardiology at Gray Faculty of Medical & Health Sciences at Tel Aviv University; and secretary of the Israel Heart Society Working Group on Echocardiography. Dr. Shechter graduated magna cum laude from Tel Aviv University and completed his post-graduate training with distinction at Rabin - including internal medicine residency as well as general cardiology and clinical advanced echocardiography fellowships. He also sought a research fellowship at the Smidt Heart Institute, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Robert (Bob) J. Siegel.
