Helen is a British Heart Foundation PhD Nurse fellow at University of Warwick. Helen trained as a registered general nurse qualifying in 1993, completed a BSC nursing honours degree in 1996, a masters in advancing nursing practice in 2014 and a National Institute of Health Research Masters by Research in 2018. Helen has 20 years experience in cardiac specialist nursing working in cardiac rehabilitation (7 years), community heart failure (3 years) and an arrhythmia and syncope nurse (10 years) . Helen has presented at national events in United Kingdom and at EuroHeart care. One of her specialist interests includes Postural orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Helen is the current President elect for the British Association for Nursing in Cardiovascular Care (2020-2022), and was the previous junior secretary and secretary 2016-2020. Helen has published a number of papers in the British Journal of Cardiac Nursing and is a peer reviewer for nursing journals.
