Associate Professor Ziad Hijazi

Dr. Ziad Hijazi is an Associate Professor of Cardiology at Uppsala University. He holds a Ph.D. in medical sciences and has extensive experience in clinical research, with emphasis on atrial fibrillation, biomarkers, clinical risk stratification, and precision medicine. He currently serves as Medical Director at Thermo Fisher Scientific, focusing on clinical trials. Dr. Hijazi has also been a national coordinator, steering committee member, and coordinating investigator in several large-scale cardiovascular studies, including clinical events committees, and is an editorial board member of Circulation.
