Dr Alicja Jasinska-Piadlo is a cardiology specialist registrar at Southern Health and Social Care Trust in Northern Ireland. She was awarded a PhD by the School of Computing of Ulster University. Alicja has been awarded a Doctoral Fellowship Award by Public Health Agency R&D Department to fund a PhD project in heart failure data analytics employing machine learning and AI algorithms. Her area of expertise is heart failure predictive modelling, utility of electronic health records for research purposes, ethical aspects and governance procedures of accessing patient data. The results of her work were published in the International Journal of Data Science and Analytics and Heart. Her research work was presented at international meetings, and she won the Early Career Investigators Award by British Society of Heart Failure, December 2022, as well as Young Investigators Award by Irish Cardiac Society in October 2023. She is a dedicated and passionate clinician.
