Biography
Professor Dr. med. Ellen Hoffmann is Head of the Department of Cardiology and Intensive Care at the Munich Heart Center Bogenhausen and Schwabing, affiliated with the Technical University of Munich. A specialist in interventional electrophysiology and cardiology, she has extensive experience in catheter ablation, device therapy, and interventional cardiology.
She has led and contributed to numerous international clinical studies, including the FREEZE-Cohort-Study a, and is actively involved in research on atrial fibrillation and cardiovascular interventions. Prof. Hoffmann serves on editorial boards of Circulation EP and Europace, and has held leadership roles within the German Cardiac Society and European scientific committees. She has been recognized with prestigious awards for her contributions to cardiac electrophysiology and remains a key figure in advancing clinical research and medical education in the field.
