Ana Barac, MD, PhD, is the D'Aniello Chair, Cardio-Oncology at Inova Schar Cancer and Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, in Northern Virginia, United States. Her clinical and research interests focus on cardiovascular imaging and its application in investigations of cardiovascular complications of cancer therapies. She also serves as a Professor of Medicine at Georgetown University. Dr. Barac was the founding Chair of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Cardio-Oncology Council and has chaired Heart House Roundtables on Cardiovascular Disease and Cancer Treatment. Dr. Barac serves as the co-director of the ACC's annual Live Course on Advancing Cardiovascular Care in Oncology patient and as a Senior Advisor for of the JACC: Cardio-Oncology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Heart Association and serves on scientific program committees of major cardiovascular and imaging societies.
