Biography
Dr. Cristina Balla is a young electrophysiologist that works at the University Hospital of Ferrara. She completed her medical degree and cardiology fellowship in Rome. She worked for few years in Boston as a postdoc fellow. During this period, she studied calcium homeostasis in cardiomyopathies. After that experience, she joined the Dr. Cappato's group in Milan where she worked as electrohpysiologist for almost 3 years. Then she moved to Ferrara where she is a cardiology attending. She works in the EP lab and she runs the cardiogenetic outpatient clinic. Her current research interests are focused on hereditary arrhythmia syndromes.
