Biography
Marcelo A. Nakazone, M.D., Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Vice-Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Health Sciences at the Faculdade de Medicina de São José do Rio Preto, Brazil. He completed his postdoctoral training at the University of São Paulo, focusing on genetics and molecular biology. He serves as Scientific Director of the Integrated Research Center and Assistant Cardiologist at the Fundação Faculdade Regional de Medicina de São José do Rio Preto, where he integrates clinical care with research in cardiovascular innovation. Dr. Nakazone collaborates in international research networks and serves as an editor, peer reviewer, and scientific advisor for journals and funding agencies. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology, and an active member of the Brazilian Society of Cardiology.
