Doctor Vishal Luther

Dr Luther is an “EHRA specialist” in Cardiac Electrophysiology (ECES) and Devices (ECDS). During his PhD, he pioneered the development of novel 3D mapping techniques, and published extensively in atrial and ventricular scar mapping, receiving the prestigious Heart Rhythm Society “Eric Prystowsky Fellow Clinical Researcher Award” in 2019. He is currently chief investigator of the “Ripple AT Plus" randomised ablation trial in patients with atypical flutter. Dr Luther organises the EP programme for the British Heart Rhythm Society annual conference, and practices EP at the Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital. Liverpool has the highest UK experience in ethanol Vein of Marshall ablation, and is recruiting to the EPIC AF “endo-epicardial AF ablation” trial. Dr Luther has a passion for education, and is founder of www.cardiowebinar.com, which offers ~100 free webinars (including an Advanced Heart Rhythm section), finalist in the 2023 HSJ Partnership “best educational programme in the NHS”.
