I am a clinical research fellow and honorary specialist registrar in cardiac electrophysiology and heart failure. My PhD work is on the role of inorganic nitrates in modulating ventricular arrhythmia in heart failure patients. I am currently running a clinical trial investigating the ability to upregulate the nitric oxide pathway using a dietary supplement in heart failure patients with autonomic dysfunction. I also do basic science pre-clinical research as part of my work, investigating the cardiac electrophysiological effects of inorganic nitrates. I am also working with VIVO, a novel non-invasive mapping tool for localising the origin of PVC and VT.
