Richard A. Brown, M.B.B.S., M.D., M.R.C.P graduated from the University of Newcastle-Upon-Tyne in the U.K. and completed specialist cardiology training in Hull. He undertook cardiovascular imaging fellowships in London and Vancouver, training extensively in cardiovascular and structural CT and cardiac MRI. His doctoral research examined the impact of vascular dysfunction, monocytes and microparticles in diffuse coronary artery disease. He has authored a number of peer-reviewed papers and book chapters related to the pathogenesis and treatment of coronary disease. He is a former Associate Royal College of Physicians Tutor and is on the editorial board of the European Heart Journal Case Reports.
