Biography
Professor Liesl Zuhlke is a paediatric cardiologist, research and global health advocate. She is the Vice-President of the South African Medical Research Council responsible for the portfolio of extramural research and internal portfolio. She was an ESC grant recipient for the MSc in Health Economics, Outcomes and Management in Cardiovascular Sciences, which she completed in 2018 and was one of the women Transforming Leadership grant recipients. She is also the Director of the Children's Heart Disease Research Unit and the PROTEA project- Partnerships for Children with Heart Disease in Africa.
