Peter Penson is Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Liverpool John Moores University, UK, Honorary Research Associate at University of Liverpool, UK and an active member of the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science. In addition, Dr Penson is Editor in Chief of Expert Review of Clinical Pharmacology, Associate Editor of BMC Pharmacology and Toxicology and a Section Editor of Archives of Medical Science: Civilisation Diseases. Dr Penson’s research interests include cardiovascular pharmacology and clinical outcomes in cardiovascular disease, with a particular focus on hypertension, dyslipidaemias and ischaemia-reperfusion injury. He is primarily involved in observational studies, clinical trials and meta-analysis. He is a member of the International Lipid Expert Panel and a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.
