Biography
Dr Baritussio graduated in Medicine in 2009 at the University of Padua (Italy), where she also completed training in Cardiology (2015) and PhD training programme (2017). She worked for 3 years in the United Kingdom, as a clinical-research fellow at the Cardiac MRI Department of the Bristol Heart Institute, and as a Research Associate of the School of Clinical Sciences of the University of Bristol, gaining interest in non-ischemic cardiomyopathies. She is working as Consultant Cardiologist and Adjunct Professor at the University Hospital of Padua (Italy), her main interests being multi-modality imaging (CMR, TTE, TOE, stress echo) and inflammatory and auto-immune myocardial and pericardial diseases. Her research mainly focuses on the identification of clinical, laboratory and imaging predictors of dismal prognosis in patients with myocarditis. She has recently being elected EACVI CMR Councillor for the mandate 2022-2024.
