Olena Torbas, MD, PhD, FESC, is a cardiologist and clinician-scientist with over 12 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine and academic research. She obtained her PhD in 2015 and has since focused on vascular remodeling, arterial stiffness, and preventive cardiology.
In recent years, her work has centred on large-scale population-based and registry-driven cardiovascular research. She contributes to national and international registries investigating cardiovascular risk stratification, progression patterns, and outcome prediction across diverse populations. Her research integrates epidemiological and real-world data into translational preventive strategies, with particular interest in arterial hypertension and pulmonary hypertension management, early vascular aging, and long-term cardiovascular risk modelling.
Dr Torbas is actively involved in international professional collaboration within the European cardiovascular community.
